Warts are a hard rough growth on the surface of the skin which can be infectious. They can appear in different shapes, sizes and numbers anywhere on your body. It is even possible for them to grow on the lips, tongue or genitals. The cause of warts is firmly believed to be a virus called PPV. Treatment may decrease the chance that the warts will be spread to other areas of your body or to other people.
