As time goes by, the battle between Dish Network vs Direct TV is just getting more and more intense. There are advances in technology over time that makes older technology obsolete. We see this all of the time with computers. Thus, for the long time customer of a satellite TV provider, how does the provider deal with upgrades in technology? I would love to jump on the satellite TV bandwagon, but I do not want to have equipment that is eight years old before I get something that is more in sync with the new stuff. Has anyone ever run into this kind of a problem?
